CF Series – The Sub-Micron Finish Weapon
Engineered around a patented micro-geometry that creates a secondary shear plane, the CF insert delivers Ra ≤0.1 µm on austenitic 316L and Ti-6Al-4V without a polishing pass. Ideal for aerospace fuel-nozzle bodies, medical bone screws and optic-mold cores where geometric accuracy and surface integrity are non-negotiable.
Technical Highlights
Micro-land 0.02 mm hone combined with 18° positive rake eliminates BUE at 0.05 mm/rev.
PVD nano-layered HP6230FAN coating – 3,800 HV nano-hardness, 1.2 µm thickness, thermal barrier at 1,100 °C.
Chip-thickness adaptive groove narrows the curl radius to 0.3 mm at f = 0.08 mm/rev, preventing bird-nest around Ø2 mm bores.
